“Authentication with the server failed!” error message in Family Tree Maker
This is a very easy fix for all versions of Family Tree Maker,
Family Tree Maker is not able to connect to the Internet,
1. You will need to check your date and time along with the time zone.
2. Make sure your firewall is set correctly for Family Tree Maker to access the internet.
3. Check your Proxy Settings in Internet Explorer on the connection tab, make note of the settings then uncheck the boxes, then close all browser windows then open your Family Tree Maker it should make your connection now.
This should solve your issue with this error message.
